Erdogan, in a conversation with his Israeli counterpart, called for minimizing disagreements between countries
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Yitzhak Herzog, spoke in favor of minimizing disagreements between the two countries, the Turkish leader’s administration said.
“During the talks, Turkish-Israeli relations and regional issues were discussed. President Erdogan noted that Turkish-Israeli relations are important for the security and stability of the Middle East, differences can be minimized if we act on bilateral and regional issues within the framework of mutual understanding,” – the message says.
Stressing that it is necessary to restore a culture of peace, tolerance and coexistence in the region, Erdogan noted that in this regard, the development of Palestinian-Israeli relations and the resumption of the peace process are priorities. He also noted that maintaining contacts and dialogue between Turkey and Israel is in the common interests of the two countries, the Turkish leader’s administration said.
