The Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec) will present a record number of full-scale models of helicopter technology at the Dubai Airshow 2021 international air show, among six machines – the foreign premiere of the export Night Hunter, the press service of the company reported.
For the first time in the history of the Russian helicopter industry, Russian Helicopters will demonstrate six full-scale equipment samples abroad at the Dubai Airshow 2021 international exhibition. One of the main novelties of the exhibition, which will be held in Dubai from November 14 to 18, will be the international premiere of the Mi-28NE attack helicopter – this modification of the “Night Hunter” has never been shown at foreign exhibitions before.
It will be paired with another modern Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter. It is expected that as part of the flight program of the Emirates salon, these aircraft will demonstrate a rich one with elements of complex aerobatics and maneuvers used in real air combat.
The Mi-28N attack helicopter (the export version of this helicopter was named Mi-28NE) was nicknamed the “Night Hunter” in the Russian army for its ability to perform combat missions at any time of the day.
It is designed to provide fire support for the forward units of the ground forces, motorized rifle and tank units.
The “Night Hunter” has enhanced armor protection, is distinguished by increased combat survivability, and is equipped with a modern high-precision guided and unguided weapon system.
The armament of the helicopter includes guided and unguided missiles, as well as a movable cannon installation with a caliber of 30 millimeters.
